DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PLAYDOUGH & PLATO?

In politics on June 18, 2022 at 8:51 pm
this is Plato

This is Plato

This is Playdough

Playdough is for children.  And for Democrats who act like children and think they can mold America into anything they want, whenever they want, since using playdough has no rules.

Plato is for adults.  And for people who can read.  And think.  And know the difference between what is true, and what seems to be true.

Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave”

To begin, consider the “Allegory of the Cave” in Plato’s Republic.  If you were absent the day your teacher or professor discussed it, or if you majored in chemistry and have no idea who Plato is, let alone his Republic, here’s a short summary, with some license taken by The Rant:

Back in the day when people lived in caves, one group, in Plato’s allegory, not only lived in a cave, they were prisoners, chained in place.  Their reality was based on what they saw on a screen.  Behind the screen, were the rulers.  And they used puppets to portray what they wanted their people to know.  Consequently, that’s all they did know.

However, one intrepid soul managed to break free of his chains and escape.  As he wandered outside the cave, he saw things he couldn’t believe: A beautiful blue sky and a vivid, almost too bright, burning sun.  He also saw a vast body of water.  Cows.  Horses.  Fields of wheat and corn.  And people who worked in the fields, and houses where people lived close to the fields.  It was astounding and contrary to anything he had been informed of by the puppets he saw on the screen in the cave.

In fact, it was all overwhelming to the man who sought to break free.  But the sun was so bright and hot that day, that his eyes had trouble focusing on the wonders he saw for the first time.  In short, the new experience was too much for him to assimilate.  So, he voluntarily went back to the cave and became a prisoner again, because it was familiar, and because he had grown too accustomed to what was familiar and to what he had been told was true.  In short, he accepted the lies as truth.

Do Dems Live in a Cave of Lies?

If you ask: What has Plato’s allegory got to do with today’s Democrats?  You’re probably a Democrat.  But, if you’re a Republican or an independent and you talk to Democrats, you quickly realize they don’t see things the way you do.  In fact, they likely don’t even know things you know to be true.  For example:

  • They may think that inflation is not caused by the government’s spending trillions of dollars that the government does not have.
  • Or that stopping the flow of oil by closing pipelines will cause a shortage and spike gasoline prices quickly to over $5.00 a gallon.
  • Or that an open-border policy is like making a deal with the Mexican cartels, providing them an outlet for smuggling lethal fentanyl into our country.  It also gives illegals free transportation to and free housing in various US cities, and provides them with a laundry list of freebees even those awaiting legal immigration don’t receive.
  • Or that it’s okay to march around a Supreme Court justice’s home protesting a future decision, even though there is a specific law against harassing a judge, yet the Attorney General and DOJ look the other way.  However, Dems in Congress voted—without one GOP vote—to provide more security for themselves after the 1/6 break-in.
  • Or that stuffing ballot boxes with illegal votes during a presidential election is a federal crime.
  • Or that pretending Black Lives Matter is an honest charity though its honchos spend millions from donations on expensive properties for their own pleasure.
  • Or that it’s better to defund the police than provide enough police protection for citizens who most need it.

Disregarding the facts and the law is what comes from thinking life is like playing with playdough, rather than reading and understanding Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave.”

Who is Joe Biden?

If you listen to CNN or MSNBC or read The New York Times or the Washington Post, you may think Joe Biden is a nice old guy who’s trying his best to do a hard job.

On the other hand, maybe you have just seen President Biden speak on TV and you think, “this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”  You say this to yourself when you hear Biden make statements like, “Exxon is making more money than God.”

When you hear that, you realize it was Biden, who, on his first day in office, closed the Keystone Pipeline, and it was Biden who said that he intends to stop the production of fossil fuels in this country.  Therefore, you know the continuing rise in gas prices, which most Americans must pay because they drive cars with gas engines, is almost entirely due to Biden’s actions.

The fact that Biden blames Exxon—and other oil refiners—by implying Exxon is greedy tells you two things:

  1. Biden doesn’t understand economics.
  2. Biden is trying to bamboozle Americans into believing what they pay at the pump is not his fault.

Either way, you realize the country is being led by a liar and/or fool.

Is the Public Investigation of the January 6th Capitol Incursion a Sham?

Yes.  It’s a TV production designed to put another arrow into Donald Trump’s reputation.  In many ways, it’s like the two failed impeachments of President Trump, conducted by the Democrats in the House.

This 1/6 investigation, also conducted by the Democrats in the House, actually has two Republicans as part of its nine-member panel.  And those two—Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger—also voted to impeach President Trump.  In short, the panel is loaded with politicians out to get Trump. That’s a fact.

Yet, the media—mouthpiece for the radical left–prefers to talk about the persecution against Trump, as if America hasn’t already had its belly full of lies about the Russia Hoax, also perpetrated by the same media, reading from the script of the radical left.

40 Percent of Americans Don’t Know the Difference Between Playdough & Plato

According to the most recent polls, only 40 percent of Americans think Biden is doing a good job.  Naturally these are Democrats, prisoners of what their leaders tell them is true.

However, 60 percent of Americans know what they see with their own eyes from their own experiences–at the gas station, the grocery store, and in their own cities.

In short, thankfully, most Americans can tell the difference between playdough and Plato.
